Cooking for a crowd’s never been easier or more pleasing! After cooking plenty of ground beef, cook onion, celery and garlic in olive oil, then add beef broth, tomatoes, tomato paste, thyme, basil, oregano and parsley. When everything’s simmered through, add ditalini pasta and kidney beans and serve big, hot bowls with bread.

R Reid-Smith says:

You forgot the Great Northern Beans. You should not cook the pasta in the soup. It will end up mushy.

Wes Chambers says:

i`m with you guys!! that was way too much garlic!! i actually prefer the jarred minced garlic, as fresh garlic never has that much flavor on its own. i usually end up adding garlic powder to pick up the garlic flavor. i wouldn`t mind trying this recipe, but i can tell you, i will be making some changes to it. halving the recipe would be my first change, there are only 3 of us at my house, and this recipe makes enough for a small army!! also, i wonder how black beans would work? i like kidney beans, but i think black beans would be a better addition to the recipe!! thank you so much for sharing Allrecipes, with love from Wes!! hugs!!!

J Briggs says:

Whenever I see someone use that nasty garlic in a jar I lose all respect for them. It doesn't taste the same as fresh garlic at all.

Momoiro Saru says:

That is an insane amount of garlic, no?
